Works fine with my hOmo labs trash can.
I have the hOmeLabs 13 Gallon Automatic Trash Can for Kitchen which does not come with the power adapter (whaaat?) and this makes it so I not longer need to use C batteries. I got lucky and I have an outlet right by the place where we put the can. The cord is NOT long (5-6 ft maybe) so know this!

Its a Must for the Trash Can
This adapter negates the need for a bunch of C batteries. Cord is sufficient to reach my trash can from my wall outlet. Cord is thin and not noticeable.

Works Well with the motion activated trash can, no issues.
Bought this to go with the motion activated trash can so I didn't have to keep replacing batteries. So far it has worked well. No issues.

It’s a power cord with adapter. It works.
This is just the adapter plug for the trash can. I’m using batteries right now, so this is just the backup plan in case I needed it.I think the cord isn’t long enough unless the location of your trash can is exactly next to an outlet (mine needed to go over the counter not at wall, as it sits in a nook on the kitchen by the sink).I didn’t return it, cause I might still decide to use it.

It Doesn't Work
I bought this to power my Homelabs trashcan as an alternative to using batteries. It's clearly not supplying the correct volts/amps expected by the mechanism that opens the trash can lid. You can open and shut the lid by physically pressing the open/close buttons, but the motion detection feature doesn't work with this adapator. And that's the whole point of having a motion detecting trash can. Guess I'll just use batteries, which work fine but represent an ongoing cost.
