LupinePetOriginals 1" Rain Song 6-Foot Padded Handle Leash for Medium and Larger Dogs

This was a great (and pretty) leash when it was new. I've had several of them and none has worn as well as I hoped over time. On both the handle is frayed but still usable for now.The bigger problem is that on this one pictured here the connector to the clip for the dog collar or halter has come loose and detached. This happened unexpectedly during a walk so the leash was effectively useless. I have used this particular leash for several years but expected it to last longer as I have older leashes (other brands) that still serviceable.I have a call in to Lupine to see if this failure of the leash is covered by their guarantee or not and/or how long their guarantee is good for as this was one reason I purchased this brand of leash. Am hoping now for a replacement, which will be wonderful.

My favorite leash! The padded handle is comfortable to wrap around my hand, and is the best part that sets it apart from other leashes. With a greyhound, you can’t be too careful because if they run, you may literally never see them again. This leash is great because I can loop it around my wrist (the point of the loop in the first place) and then wrap the excess around my hand so if she gets scared or startled and runs, or tries to, it will tighten around my fingers and hand, but won’t slip off. Anyway, this leash is sturdy, durable, and really pretty. This is our second leash by this semi-local company!

How does the color hold up so well??? The leash slipped out of my son's hand at the most inoppertune time... when a wild rabbit was running by. Our Sibord (Siberian Husky/Border Collie) took off and was gone for about 30 minutes running in and out of the woods as well as in and out of the lake. When we located him happily trotting back to us, his leash was a mess. Believe it or not, once it dried, I just shook off the loose debris and it looks like new, fresh bright colors like the day I opened the Amazon box. Lupine is my new GO TO company for doggie collars and leashes.

We haven't gotten to use this lead too much yet, but I know I already like it. It seems well made and has a sturdy clip and is all backed by their lifetime, even if chewed, replacement warranty. I also love the colors, my dog's color is purple (we try to color coordinate among friends to keep all of our gear organized) so this fits perfect while attending some extra flair! We also have the matching training tab and might invest in a martingale collar in the future. One thing to note though, is that the pattern only appears on one side. This isn't a problem but you can't really tell in some of the photos.

Just bought this leash for my dog who has been pulling my arm on longer leads. This leash has a nice padded handle, thus what I need with my hand issues. It is attractive and nice. The leash looks well made, and the padded part is just great for putting my hand through. The length is great for walking as the dog can still do his or her business but not be too far away. I have less yanking on my arm now, and better control of the dog. I read other reviews about fraying but I see no issue right now. Lovely lead, and light, and well made. Glad I made this purchase!

Great leash and very nice looking but unfortunately, not very durable for a pup that gets excited and likes to grab the leash in his/her mouth and play. Our goldendoodle chewed 3/4 the way through this leash in a matter of seconds.Great warranty, though. They replaced the leash without question but we no longer use the replacement with our pup. Maybe once he gets a little older.

This is my third leash from this company. My other two work fine but just become frayed where they may drag on the floor. I liked their original latch that are on their older products, it was one of the reasons I bought this brand over others. But so far it is working fine.

Have bought many of these. Love the patterns. Very good quality. I like to get new ones occasionally. Will buy again

Super lead - comfy to hold doesn’t get twisted strong enough for an exuberant Labrador. I liked the choice of colours and designs.

One of my favourite leashes. Love it so much I bought it in three sizes. The clip is one of my favourite styles. Much nicer than general blot clip leashes. The handle is very comfy as well. Great chew guarantee if your dog likes to destroy leashes. Highly recommend Lupine products.

Good quality material, one side is a solid colour and the other is the pattern.
