Good quality but handle could be a little more sturdy
The 6 oz ladle is good for soup and gumbo. Good quality but I feel the handle could be more sturdy and a little easier to grasp due to the metal edges. Overall a good product.

The paradigm has changed!
The addition of these high quality steel ladles constitute six items I have purchased thus far from AvantGrub, and, the caliber of the products and service make me feel certain that I have found a vendor to add to my Rolodex of companies I am comfortable conducting business with!If the past year has revealed anything to us about our world of evolving normal, it is that the ecommerce industry is here to stay. In light of that revelation it behooves us to identify and patronize those who meet the demands of this genre of retail and perform at a level with which we are free from anxiety about how we're spending our equipment and service dollars.I fear that too often we consumers who have been accustomed to purchasing from established, reputable, vendors who have a track record of supplying our exact needs. The retail marketplace has changed and we may very well find ourselves spending A-Quality prices on C or D-Quality products and services. We no longer have the luxury of browsing, feeling, examining the products for which we are in the market. As such, we must rely on the integrity of the vendor in giving us clear, exact, and honest assessments of the items they are selling. Unfortunately, the anonymity of the internet make the temptation to embellish our sales offer a bit too overwhelming, and the customer comes away bruised and distrustful, but the unscrupulous purveyor of the defective articles is all too often "gone with the wind," obscured behind layers of VPNs, encryption, spoofed addresses, and on and on we could go.For those reasons, plus a fair pricing model, this will become one of my regular go-to vendors. Their products, and behavior give me no reason to question the authenticity of the representations they make of the items they sell, and all communication has been professional, transparent, and inspires confidence and peace of mind while making purchase transactions from them.I cannot commend these folks to you in any more favorable light than my experiences with them, thus far, have left with me, which is five of five stars, and wish there were more!

Nice, small ladle
Nice quality, as sturdy as a small ladle needs to be, easy to use & clean. Needed it to fit into a food jar-type thermos, and it did so nicely. This would not be a great soup or stew ladle, due to the size, but great for gravies, sauces, and any other food that is added to a plate in smaller amounts. Exactly what was needed, and worked well!

Canning?
I tested a lot of canning ladles.I paid for all of them, and have not received any reimbursement for my review.Prepworks (8oz plastic)Professional ergonomic ladle (8oz stainless)Water dipper (stainless 2 cup)Another 1/2 pint ladle (very wide, grey and plastic)And the Rosle (8oz stainless)I saw people rave about each... Here is what I found after canning 200 pints and 2 dozen quarts.Plastic ladles are less expensive and come in a few different sizes. They attempt to provide a more comfortable pouring spout and mid-shaft hook, to keep the ladle off the counter and in the pot, without fouling the handle. They are always at least 2 pieces and surface textures vary. People often suggest buying an extra 1 or 2, to accommodate future failures. While prep works is a smooth surface, fruits and jams still collect on the bottom and in the spout, frequently dripping and leaving food in the ladle, effectively reducing the amount you can transfer to a jar and increasing clean up time. The other plastic ladle had a flat bottom, and was textured causing even more food to stick. I found both to be cumbersome with odd pouring angles. I also felt like I couldn't get them clean, because of the seams between the parts. The water dipper and the professional ladle had similar issues, as they were tack welded together, and left areas where food was nearly impossible to clean out. They were a decent grade.of stainless but still had an awkward angle. The professional ladle was also uncomfortable and a little difficult to control. Ultimately, the inability to properly sanitize was a deal breaker. The Rosle...Stainless , highly polished to promote food transfer - checkSingle piece construction - checkAngled handle for a more comfortable pour - checkPouring lip to deter spills and drips -BIG check!Single, lifetime purchase - checkCons - initial price appears to be more expensive - but it's the basically the same as what you'd pay for multiples or back ups of others.I'm the long run, I found the Rosle to be much more effective, particularly if you plan on doing a lot of canning. If you're only canning for yourself and not doing more than a couple quarts at a time, then the Professional ladle may be a good option for you.

Sturdy, large capacity
Expensive, but well made. I eat a lot of soup, and this is easy to dole out a substantial serving with. The only real drawback is that it is a bit unwieldly, the handle is rather long, you will need a large drawer to store it

Cucharón
Habría imaginado que el metal sería más fuerte, pero la relación precio-rendimiento es buena.

Perfect for canning
These are super size ladles and when filling pint jars with boiling water they provide a perfect amount in. The ladle most of the time will fill the pint with the extra liquid that’s needed with just one ladle full.

Wide and shallow
I expected the spoon to be deeper, but it's more wide and narrow. It is sturdy, though, and has a nice long handle for deeper soup pots. I wasn't sure I'd keep it at first because it wasn't what I expected, but I think I will.
