Q: Where is this item made?

The bag mine came in was clearly marked JAPAN, but that's not actually stamped anywhere into or on the cup itself. I prefer avoiding made in China items; that's just my opinion. But the quality is excellent, regardless of location of manufacture.

Q: My rice cooker came with an approx. 6oz. Is 180cc or 1 gou approx. 6oz or 3/4 cup? For the American market we are not familiar with gou or cc.

1 quart (4 cups) is about 946 cc. So yes, 180 cc is about 6 oz. When using American measuring cups, I estimate 4 rice cups = 3 U.S. cups

Q: I have the tiger brand 5.5 cup rice cooker and i lost the replacement cup will this work?

Short answer: I think so. Long answer: As far as I know, all rice cookers use a standard rice-cup-sized cup, which this is one. There are other options out there, such as cheaper plastic ones too.
