Great helmet
A bit bigger than I was expecting but still works. The visor is a bit flimsy but not a big deal.

Great Entry-Level Protection: Giro Fixture MIPS Adult Mountain Cycling Helmet
As a first-time cyclist, I have been very satisfied with the Giro Fixture MIPS Adult Mountain Cycling Helmet. This helmet was one of my first buys in what has become a developing cycling journey, and I must say, it does everything I need it to.One of the first things that caught my attention is the simple yet stylish design of the helmet. It looks sleek and professional, instantly making me feel like a true cyclist. I appreciate the clean lines and the matte finish, giving it a modern and trendy appearance.Fit and comfort are crucial for a positive cycling experience, and this helmet delivers on both fronts. The Roc Loc Sport system makes it incredibly easy to adjust the helmet to fit my head perfectly. As a first-time cyclist, I wasn't sure what to expect in terms of fit, but the Roc Loc Sport system simplified the process and ensured a secure and comfortable fit every time.I also noticed that my head was never getting hot during my longer rides. Overall, the vents on the helmet allow for excellent airflow, keeping my head cool and preventing overheating. This feature has been particularly beneficial during my beginner rides, as it helps me stay focused and enjoy my time on the bike. The visor is a thoughtful addition to the helmet, shielding my eyes from the sun's glare. It's adjustable, allowing me to position it according to my preferences and the riding conditions. This added functionality has been invaluable as I explore different terrains and adapt to various weather conditions.Pros:- Stylish and professional design- MIPS technology for enhanced safety- Easy adjustability with Roc Loc Sport system- Effective ventilation for coolness- Adjustable visor for sun and debris protectionCons: None

Feels Good
The instant I put on my Giro helmet and adjusted it, I knew I'd like it. The fit feels good. The helmet is higher quality and better fit than a no-name helmet that had worn out. The visor is an effective sunshade. The adjustment knob is smooth. The only improvement I'd make is to lengthen the chip straps by about one-inch to give me a bet more space between my chin the the strap.I am pleased with the fit, quality, weight, and price of my Giro helmet.

Visor is NOT adjustable!
Great helmet...but when purchased I was under the impression that the visor was adjustable. It isn't!!! So...just be aware of that. Other than that...feels good and looks good.

A great fitting XL helmet for big heads!
Two things, first off: this is described as a dirt riding helmet. I'm mainly an urban/road rider and am more concerned about proper fit and adequate air flow. I don't care that it's described as a dirt riding helmet. Secondly, some buyers have sent this helmet back because of, or are unhappy with, the color, stating it looks white. As the pics show, it is a light shade of gray, with a matte finish, not gloss. Helmet appearance is a very personal judgement call. If you're looking for a helmet to match your bike color or how it goes with your riding gear, you may want to look further. I'm perfectly happy with the fact that it doesn't draw attention to itself. Finally, I wanted a helmet with a visor, detachable or not, as I have a custom rearview mirror that mounts to the visor. This is a detachable visor but provides a stable mirror mounting location up to 35mph (maximum speed thus far with new helmet.)I have a large head, 23.5" or 59.7 cm. I wanted a helmet that provided additional room for either a skull cap or balaclava for cold weather riding. This helmet is stated as sizing 58-65 cm. With my head measuring slightly under 60 cm, the helmet fits perfectly on my bare head or with a cold weather protection layer added. Whereas my old helmet rode on top of my head, this helmet fits over my head. My wife commented the first time she saw it on me, that this helmet didn't appear to be "perched" on my head like my old one did. This helmet also provides MIPS (Multi-Directional Impact Protection System) engineering. This specification became a priority for me after becoming aware of its existence. The whole idea of wearing a helmet is to provide maximum protection in case the worst scenario arises. The MIPS combined with the excellent fit of the helmet makes me feel that I'd have a good chance of surviving a head impact if it happened.Another fit consideration mentioned by at least one buyer stated that the non-adjustable straps didn't clear their ear correctly, referring to the "V" strap configuration not clearing their ear. This, of course, can't be confirmed until actually putting the helmet on. It either fits properly or it doesn't. And to clarify, the chin strap IS adjustable, of course, just not the configuration around the ear. One final observation about the straps, they are of a thinner, narrower material than my previous helmet, also a Giro brand. I assume that they are as strong or stronger than the straps on my old helmet. Strength of lightweight materials has advanced tremendously since the construction of my old helmet.Summary: Make sure that your head measurement is greater than 58 cm and less than 65 cm (that's BIG!). The depth of the inside of the helmet is generous, fitting my large head well. Inside size adjustment is by rotating wheel with click stop. Chin strap adjustment leaves 4" additional length available in my case.Helmet color and style is purely subjective, as is strap fit around ear.Build quality and materials is excellent, as is to be expected with Giro. All in all, a great fitting, comfortable helmet for large heads.
