Idky there is a false bottom. If you can’t get the cake out of a sold pan it’s operator error. This false bottom is a nuance it’s stressful trying to keep it in when coating the pan you can’t dump out the excess or it will fall out. Then cleaning why do I want to have 2 things to clean instead of one. This is a gadget and it’s a waste of time. Gonna return for a solid pan. Sorry only helpful for people who can’t get a cake out of a pan from not coating it appropriately.

I used to have heart shaped cake pans as a little kid that I absolutely adored so these have a special place in my heart for nostalgia alone. I switched exclusively to removable bottom cake pans years ago and they have made a world of difference with my baking so I was incredibly excited when I finally found heart pans with removable bottoms! They are a little hard to clean in the corners but overall these are amazing quality! My only warning I have overall is to be careful when you go to clean them because the edges where the bottom lays are incredibly sharp! I cut my hand twice the first time trying to clean it but I know that’s definitely a me problem.
