It is designed to fit inside a phone case with the strap attachment part coming out of the charging opening of the case. You can still easily charge the phone.I use the strap on my wrist for safety when taking photos so that it does not fall if dropped. Also, it can hang on my wrist while using my hands for something else.I also utilize it when placing my phone on a phone holder on my bike. I use the strap around the holder so that if the phone comes loose from the holder it will not fall to the ground. That happened to me once at about 14mph and the phone was dangling and did not fall to the ground. Nice save!

LOVE the concept! I bought this for vacation use as I often put my phone out of the car window to take photos. The wrist lanyard is soft on the skin and is adjustable - 5 stars. (Continue reading to understand why the overall rating is 4 stars.) The tab easily installs securely behind the case and does not impede MagSafe or lightning cord charging. After using it on vacation, I found that I liked having it on all the time as I would drop my phone on occasion before finding this gem of an idea. It is especially convenient when grocery shopping as I use my phone for grocery lists, the store app for coupons, etc. I don’t have to worry about theft if I put it down somewhere as it is always in my hand or dangling from my wrist. After loving it for a month, I bought a neck lanyard to use in place of the wrist lanyard when skiing. It is easy to pull the phone out from under my ski jacket when on the lift to capture some amazing mountain scenery. Now for the BUT. After using it every day for 3 months, the neck of the tab began to rip. Afraid that it would tear off completely at in inopportune moment, I replaced it with another since I had extras. The cost is minimal so using 4 per year is not a problem, but I think customers should be aware of the issue and know to watch for deterioration of the tab. I will look for a longer lasting tab next time. Additional comment: although I leave the lanyard attached all the time, it is easy to remove it from the tab while leaving the tab in place.

Definitely would recommend, works very well for concerts and raves. Especially if you don’t wanna waste more money on other products.

As long as your phone case is sturdy these work perfectly. I used this while traveling and kayaking and it was very comfortable and sturdy.
