These, though they may look like something Batman might wear punching crime in Gotham City - work!
I have osteoarthritis in both wrists and hands, it's gotten past the point I need to wear some sort of support for at least part of the day in order to help relieve the pain and help protect them further. I've been using the straight, elasticated sleeve type of wrist support for some time now - problem is they don't support the ball of your thumb, in fact they can aggravate it without additional thumb support gloves, which by themselves don't support your wrist. So it's been a case of having to wear both thumb gloves support and wrist support sleeves which - though effective - you can't wear for too long at a stretch and you certainly can't sleep in them. These, though they may look like something Batman might wear punching crime in Gotham City - work!Very light weight, easy to wash - the metal support strip just slides out - VERY comfortable to wear. I bought, first, one for my right hand as it was the one playing me up the most that day. Sleeve arrived next day, was immediately surprised at how light weight and comfortable it was - easy to put on and take off.The underside supports your wrist and hand comfortably, when you put it on the top of your forearm is protected from the straps by a lightweight material - and you don't have to worry about the straps, though they look large and brutal the width actually distributes the tension evenly - nothings digging in to your skin. The whole thing is very breathable - looks bulky and cumbersome but actually I can do most things around the house wearing them, no loss in dexterity, as I say I'm typing this wearing them and for general office and computer work they're really good - gives support right where you need it.the best thing is - the ball of your thumb - it's supported to: it doesn't feel like your thumb's about to pop out its socket wearing one of these. For me the acid test was hitting the PlayStation - not unironically a good session on Arkham: Origins left my right thumb and wrist in good shape, where as my left hand and wrist was feeling the after effects, and on a PS3 controller, you're using your left hand a lot less than your right, generally. - so I ordered one for my left hand and, one session of God of War later - I'm genuinely glad I did.The best thing I'm finding is - after wearing these for just a few hours you hands and wrists are rested, you're not putting pressure leaning on them or picking things up - so that, when you do take them off you're not experiencing pain morning, noon and night - you can take a break from wearing them and your wrists and hands aren't kicking up the fuss they were - great for when you go out and about like real people do.Can't get how pleased I am with them, the only slightly down side - the price is a little steep, If - like me - you have osteoarthritis you're going to go through more than one pair of these a year - an option to buy both together for say a saving of £5.00 - £6.00 might take the sting out of that a little bit for long term sufferers.I can get that people getting past a sports injury or surgery only needing one as a one off won't find the price as is off-putting at all - but, if you're going to have to buy a pair more than a couple of times a year it adds up.This isn't to say they're not worth the money - they are - but a slightly discounted dual hand purchase option might generate more sales and help people out a little who need the help long term.Other than that, the product itself really is, really good - I look forward to seeing how durable and rugged they are.And so, without further ado - if you'll excuse me: Gotham needs me.

Best wrist braces on Amazon!
After working with my hands for 65 years, I have developed very severe arthritis in both wrists. One option is having both wrists surgically fused (how would I eat?). The only other option is wearing bilateral wrist splints 24/7. I got one pair from my OT, which were very uncomfortable. I ordered an additional pair on Amazon which were more than twice the price of these, but they weren’t very comfortable either. These wrist splints fit well. The shorter length is more comfortable, but they still restrict movement. Being able to adjust the splints in two places independently is a wonderful feature! I just ordered two more pair, so I can keep one pair “for good”. You won’t be disappointed if you order these splints!

Have felt more comfortable since wearing it, offers more support than I first thought. Wristless pain full.

Helped my carpal tunnel
I wear these at night while I sleep because I started having numbness in my hands and my arms were getting tired easily when lifted for short periods of time. It was amazing how soon after my arms felt back to “normal” after just a few nights. If only my dogs hadn’t got ahold of one and chewed the plastic pieces, making it so I had to temporarily put pipe cleaners in their place to be able to secure the Velcro enclosure strips! But they obviously like them too. I’m definitely replacing with the same one as the drug store ones don’t seem to feel as comfortable.
