I bought this kit as an introduction to silk painting for myself, never having tried it before. I have to say I was not really impressed with it. The most annoying feature of it is the gutta outliner provided. The hole on the end is, in my opinion, way too large and, with the pressure that's needed to squeeze the gutta out, means it comes out blobby and too thick for the intricate outlines required for the designs that come with it. For instance, the cat's nose on the single cat is impossible to outline as it's so small. I feel that the samples on the box lid weren't done with the items in the box itself. I appreciate these would have been done by a professional and therefore someone with a lot more experience than myself, but I'm no stranger to craft work, but have abandoned this after completing only one picture as I'm so dissatisfied with the finished product. Also, unless you're quite used to mixing primary colours to get all the colours in the rainbow, it's quite difficult to achieve certain shades and there isn't really any advice on colour mixing. It could also do with a bit of surplus material for novices to try out first before committing themselves to tackling the pictures themselves. I think overall that it's not a particularly good product for the price. Could do with some improvements.

No help included in this box, all it states is 'refer to the picture on the box lid.'Have not bothered to open it again.

Daughter very pleased with present, not yet done as it is a project in the waiting, ideal girls gift. Look forward to spending an afternoon completing it.
