(it would be great having a dim setting)-on/off button missing-it's commonly offline, even though wifi signal is ok-missing a learn mode, to use it with a non-listed equipmentAPPPros:-user friendly either to sync and use it-gives feedback whenever it captures IR signal from the remote-convenient room/scene configuration-gives feedback whenever I change temp and the device is offline (command is ignored)Cons:-server sync is a pain: every time I use it, it starts a sync process that could take from 10 secs to minutes, and sometimes couldn't log in at all-it's commonly offline-it lacks room temp at a glance; if I want to know it, I have to turn ac on and wait a while to display it.I guess for now it's still the best solution available for managing "dumb" ac equipment and making it a little smart. I hope the manufacturer gets to improve both (app and device), since they have covered some of the basics in a reasonable way. I think they would make an enormous leap if they get to include it in smartthings, google home, etc.

Having used remote control for my mini split air conditioner for long, I wanted to add some smartness for my dumb AC. My extensive online research resulted into the decision of buying Cielo Breez smart controller. The product I received was in great package and the getting inside the package contents was just like opening an iPhone from its box. The finish seemed great and I loved the table stand option, though I mounted it through a wall bracket (also provided with the package). I plugged the device in and the registration was super-fast. In no time I was controlling my ductless. Just to check the android app, I also used my wife’s android phone to control the ductless system and the experience was as good as with the iOS. The voice control through Alexa works great. Important to mention that with Alexa, they have both custom and smart home skills, which are very useful. Both can be used together which gives more options. I love the air filter status feature. Also the scheduling and location based controls are easy to set and very useful. The LCD display and the always available temp and humidity info right on the display is great. What’s more, you can put your picture on the display, as well.Full five stars to the product and the associated eco system. Very Strongly Recommended.

The Cielo Breez is an awesome wifi device, I have two connected to two mini split HVAC units. My apartment building installed a crazy off brand called Tosot, (maybe that’s not an “off” brand in the HVAC world, but I never heard of them before in my 44 years in the past with anything else, never heard of Tosot before) and these work flawlessly with Tosot. If they work with this off brand, they should work with any HVAC mini split or any AC with a display remote. The Cielo Breez will pay for itself with the money you save in electric bills. The only issue I am having is installing the app on to an Amazon Fire Tablet that I am using as a smart home remote. I think Google Play store is the issue. It does work with another Android tablet that supports Google play store and with my iPhone and iPad. I even side loaded Google play store on to the Fire Tablet and still no luck. I spoke to someone at Cielo Support and he was very helpful with another issue I had, and problem solved. I hope I can eventually add the app to my Fire Tablet, as I use it as a home remote for all my WiFi devices. (Car, smart lock, this HVAC, lights, TV, fireplace, dehumidifier, etc.) Works flawlessly with my Amazon Echo (Alexa) as well.

My review may be edited and updated depending upon further testing of functionality for this device. I must first say that tech-support has been very responsive and helpful when there was a problem with the app not allowing me to connect due to an error in their system. There quick response and polite email following up on the incident is something rarely seen with technical support from companies today.My rating is lower than anticipated because in spite of selecting the device which matches the remote shown on their website as compatible the Breez will not control the LG A/C unit. Before purchase I chatted online with Cielo and was told that my Haier unit could be added since they support Haier. Upon purchase and another chat I was told it could not be added. So for now I have two devices neither of which the Breez will control. If it fails with my Fujitsu ductless mini-split system I will be forced to return it.Added comment: Yay!! The Breez unit does control my Fujitsu mini split and I was also able to easily add the skill and integrate it with Amazon Alexa.

I have an Ecobee4 in my house connected to and controlling my furnace and it works well, but when we needed a control for a new mini-split heat pump we were not sure what to use. Hesitantly I ordered two Cielo Breez devices (for each of our two air handlers). Installing the units was quite simple; I had to locate each near an electrical outlet in order to plug them in, but it wasn't difficult to locate a suitable place for the controllers. Connecting to the controllers in order to set them up was also very simple; far easier than many of my various "smart home" products.The app is intuitive and very simple to use, and I love that I can control my air handlers remotely.
