Great product
I work in the automotive service industry and I was looking for a work pant that was lightweight, durable, comfortable, water resistant and one that allowed me to carry. The 5.11 Tactical Series Fast-Tac Urban Pant is just what i've been looking for I love the affordable price, expandable waist, deep pockets - flat at the bottom of the pocket opening so my knife fits vertical in my pocket- room to appendix carry as well as ankle carry, with an additional pock for my extra mags. I bought one pair to see how it fits (fit is perfect - I'm 6'2" 200 lbs and wear a 34x34) I will be buying at least 6 additional pairs so I can go a full week at work. I'm sure I will wear these outside of work because they have very clean lines and are non assuming. They're even perfect for church attire - Love them. Thanks 5.11 for putting out such a great product at an affordable price

Best lightweight pants
I live an area that is very hot and humid during the summer. I train people outside in classes that can go for 8 hours. It can rain or just be sweltering. These pants are fantastic because they look professional, wear well, don't stay wet and are not heavy which keeps me feeling cooler on those 100 plus degree days.I have bought multiple pairs. They do run true to size.

Lightweight Tactical Pants
I was looking for a pair of pants that could be used for outdoor activity like hiking without looking like I was going on a SWAT training mission. From the pics and descriptions, these appeared to be a good candidate. They are constructed of a lightweight ripstop fabric that has the feeling of track pants, but look close enough to a cotton twill fabric to be passable as a normal chino. There is a nice slight texture that adds to the appearance. The pockets are also inconspicuous, but accessible and useful. The waist has at least two inches of "flex" which is nice if you are the kind of guy who needs that or just want a pair of pants that will still feel comfortable even if your weight swings 5-10 pounds.Downsides are the legs, especially in the thighs, are huge. We are talking parachute pants size not just "relaxed fit". The 30 inch waist pair I ordered had a total of about 22 inches total around in the thigh area. My "normal" pants come in around 15-16 inches (and are not skinny or slim fit either). There is also no taper in this model so the size issue continues, if not gets worse, around the calf area. This throws off the proportions with the top especially if you want to tuck in a shirt for easy access to a duty belt and leaves a odd look overall. If you have beefy legs this might not be a concern, but at 22 inches around most guys with a 30 inch waist will find this way too big.I had to return for this reason, but overall liked the "look and feel" of the pants. Will try a different cut and hopefully find a better match.

My Work Pants
These pants are true to size and wear very well. I have worn these specific pants for the last 4 years and have NO complaints. They are still kind of "tactical" but yet dressy. As an instructor, teaching, training etc. they hold up and meet my needs.

Great pants. May have to "buy then try" to get it right
5.11 Fast Tac Urban - I ordered a size 40/30 "Urban" when the previous order Fast tac Cargo 38/30 was too tight all over. The fit and comfort is darn near perfect. I'm 5'8", 225lb. The side pockets are fabric, not mesh. And ALL the 5 pockets are a little extra deep which aids in keeping things put. My Android Moto E fits perfectly in the "phone" pocket. The inseam is a wee bit long, but I can live with it. Comes with a sewn on waist button...a snap would have been preferred. It would be nice if 5.11 actually paid a more attention to it's customers though.

Great quality
My son only received one pair of these pants when he was issued a uniform for fire academy. Thanks to Amazon, I found an identical pair he’d have a backup. Great quality, dry super fast. I can wash them and they are completely dry in 7 minutes in the dryer or within a few hours if I hang them to dry.

Durability isn't great.
They're very comfortable. These are great in the summer.Decent airflow, except where the pockets are.I work in an office, so my clothing doesn't get a lot of abuse.I've only had these a few months, and they're starting to self destruct.

Light and comfy
Not for winter use! These pants are thin but awesome! They are slick to prevent fraying and they are made of a good rip stop material. I also like the hidden elastic in the waist so you can gain 5 or lose 5 and they still fit right. Very nice set up with the pockets too.
