Great budget projector
This is not a true HD projector, but the overall quality and colors are acceptable for the super low price.DesignThe input cabling are on the sides instead of the back, which works perfectly for mounting on the back wall of a room, which is where I have it mounted on a book shelf. The buttons are real basic and have clicky sounds when pressed. The adjustments for the angle of the picture and focus are of really cheap quality but they work. There is no dust cover/lens cover, so the front of the projector will need to be cleaned of dust from time to time. It truly is very compact and light weight, super easy to move around, wished it came with a carry case.ColorsCompared to an HDTV, the colors are really bland and washed out. You can play with the color settings and contrast in the menu, but they will not look anything close to what you're used to on an HDTV. I've found that the 'Medium' color preset setting is the most acceptable for any movie (dark horror/upbeat comedy) to watch without the colors being a big issue. There is no motion blur, as all the movement on display is fluid and wont give you headaches. The picture has 'screen lines' on it, but you kinda get used to it with time. Keep your expectations to a minimum and remember this projector is about $55-$75, and you'll appreciate what it can do.TestingI have this hooked up to an old PS3 and using Apps like Netflix and Hulu the image quality is fine. The ps3 menu is a bit washed out and i dont plan on gaming on this at all. I just want to watch dvd/blu-ray movies and stream tv shows on my apps, which is this excellent at doing.OverallFor the low low price of $55, this thing is a keeper. We wont watch it all the time, but for the 'movie nights' its perfect.

More pros than cons... Very nice low-cost projector
There are lots of pros to this little projector and only a few cons. I bought one and then another one for my son. My wife and I use it to project a large screen above the bed to watch saves shows from the cable networks. For the price, it's a winner. Most Important PRO advantagesSome projectors up here on Amazon, in the same class, said that they'll only run 2 hours !! This one says 24 hours without shut down. This was a huge plus for me since watching two movies exceed two hours.I'm used to projectors running really hot.... This one only uses 50 Watts (as much as a 50 watt light blub) and after running it for hours I can put my hand right next to the vent and it's warm at best..... Very efficient very safe.PROs:Small size small footprint.Strong light output this particular one has about 2400 LM.The fan or fans do put out some white noise noticeable at first but once you're watching your show, not a big deal. The quality of the picture is better than I expected. Some colors do run hot such as reds. These colors can be a little more saturated than others. But I always try to remember this thing sells for way under $100. The price ranges actually quite considerably my first one above for $88 the second one for $77 and now. They have been running $54 at Christmas.I use HDMI from my laptop and it worked without a hitchNeutral :The focus will allow you to focus at a wide level. It may take some turning to get it focused as you want. The focus is a bit flimsy and cheap but works. Now because I project from the base of the bed up the picture is skewed so some words in the corner become very fuzzy but when you're watching a movie you don't really notice.Text does not work on the screen very well small text becomes almost impossible to read but they're very clear in their own definition this is not for Word or ExcelCon:The remote control. Common with the infrared remote control but is very directional. You cannot be in front of the projector or on the side to get it to change anything. The infrared receiver is on the back of the projector which makes sense as most people would be behind the projector. But in my case when projecting up on the ceiling no matter how close I am it will pay no attention to the remote. It does not remember your last connection type. So if you select HDMI which takes selecting to the menu and hitting the enter button you have to do that each time you restart the machine. It does not auto sense connections.ALL and ALL its worth it and nice projector

Wow
It's lightweight, comes with HDMI,Remote,Power Cord. I just plugged HDMI to my computer and powered on the projector. Now for technical stuff. It has basic display profiles and 1 custom profile called "personal". That lets you adjust Contrast,Saturation,Brightness,Tint, and various other settings like noise reduction and so on.With these settings I was able to match my laptop monitor's display to the projected images and movies.Just be aware that everything you use has those settings. For example your computer's brightness or contrast my be too high or low than the projected image, that's controllable under your computers settings. The projector has its settings on top of the used device's settings. The 1080 computer via HDMI was projected fine with great details. Although it seemed a tad too sharp, the projector had sharpness at 50%, I turned it down to 20% to get rid of any pixelation due to the high sharpeningAlso note your video player inside the computer will also have these adjustable settings, so plenty of ways to project what you see and color correction.Cons- 1 custom setting.I noticed that depending on what movies or images you view you have to tweak the contrast and brightness levels for exact match. Watching Anime is very bright and skin tones can look pure white or over bright, so had to adjust brightness and contrast lower. Some movies where too dark so I had to kick brightness and contrast up.Conclusion- As stated right out of the box the projector is nice and very sharp clear pictures. Well worth the price, yes it is bright enough if that's your hesitation, it is bright. My review was about the control you can have with its settings to enhance and correct your image or movie quality. Sharpness can make very clear yet pixelation at high levels, and at low levels makes images look smooth then dream like. This was a great buy, I got me a large HD screen for an amazing price. Should have got one sooner. Also the posted images from others do not justify quality. That Avengers movie picture looks smudgy like had high sharpening and high noise reduction at same time. And that Toon movie looks too soft and tint was off probably due to the camera trying to match white balance with a bright image. Trust me the image quality was clean, bright, clear, and adjustable. Just don't expect 4k quality. If your looking for that go to the expensive projectors. Also it was well protected, even inside its own box it was wrapped with half inch plastic air pockets.
