We purchased this system to transmit audio from a video projector back to a mixing board. The instructions state that the source volume (if other than a cell phone or other low-volume device) should be reduced by approximately 70% to avoid distortion. We found the system caused distortion at virtually any setting when used with our equipment. Even when the source volume was reduced to one step above "mute", we experienced crackling audio and an unacceptable signal-to-noise ratio.While this system might be perfectly acceptable as a headphone monitor for extremely low-volume devices, it is definitely not suitable for relaying quality audio for later amplification. Thankfully, Amazon was quick to accept our return of the system and provide a prompt refund.

I bought this for connecting my subwoofer. The unit does work but one of the units has a bad audio connector. Mind you that rather than RCA jacks, this unit comes with headphone-type audio connectors. Every so often I get a loud hum. I then have to fiddle with the audio connector which apparently does not make solid contact to eliminate the hum. I have considered using some duct tape to better secure the audio connector. Not a very well thought-through design.

Okay, so. I built a portable speaker system in a box using car audio equipment. I am building a second one and I wanted to link them up so they play the same audio. This unit does just that. I tried some Bluetooth transmitter/receivers and they had like a .5 second delay which as you could imagine sounded very delayed. This unit has no noticeable delay in audio. I plugged them in and they just worked. no pairing, no nonsense.

More interference than I would like but its good enough to get the job done.
