Good starter set
I have about 40 years of experience with aquariums. This kit comes with what you need to get started. The LED light is particularly bright and the fully opening hood makes it easy to clean the glass. The power filter is a little small for my liking, usually I get the large size Tetra filter for a 10 gallon, this uses the medium filter cartridge. This setup works well for my daughter's bedroom: one fish and snail.

Fish tank
I have had this set up since october, so roughly 7 months. Perfect size fish tank and I built a custom stand for it. The only downfall is the cheap filter. Is good for the first startup for maybe a month but highly recommend getting a canister filter system. Other than that this is a very good starter.

Poor quality. Defective parts that didn't work as brand new. Terrible customer service
I have 3 of these 55 gallon tank kits. The first 2 get 4 stars. The same exact tank kit is a nightmare. The filter didn't work, straight out of the box. I got no type of response by tetra customer service. I spent my own money to buy an operational filter from Petco. Shortly afterwards. The dual light kit started to turn on and off. Intermittently. It stays on for approximately 20-30 minutes and goes off for 5 seconds and comes back on and works for another 20. Rinse and repeat. It seems like the quality control at the company is lagging. Each tank kit I purchase, gets progressively worse. Blinking lights are very stressful for fish. I like the first kit. But as far as the others. Not so much. Sorry tetra. I do not recommend these tanks to anyone

Well made tank. Arrived 3 says early
Love the tank. Filter is quite, noise level depends on flow speed. Hoods are easily put on. Only con I have is the lighting setup. A wire runs between the two hoods, in order to open one fully you must open both hoods. Will be adding another filter.

This has been a great first tank for me so far
I set up a planted/dirted tank in this. I use the included Hang on back filter part of the time and I also mostly rely on a different sponge filter. The tank is great. The light strip for me in the 29 gallon tank was a single and solid hard plastic strip and clips into the lid. It's fantastic. It does have a rocker switch to turn it on and off but I just hooked it up to a wifi plug so I could set a schedule. The lid is cheap plastic like others have said but it works just fine. It's not like you've got fish dancing on top of it. It's not going to breakThe filter for me is fairly quiet. You can hear the impeller if you listen for it but the sound of the waterfall, even when it's just a short fall, drowns that out for me.I can't think of anything negative to say about this tank. It brough some great looking fish into my home and I'm exited to see what else I can add

Loud filter and due to low water as some say
Tank is fine. lid does not hinge at all. I just lift to feed or access. Cheap but ok. Filter was great for fist two weeks, Now it’s loud . My water level is good and filters good but loud to a point I think it bothers the fish, so I am looking for something better. Also light is soooo bright not dimmable also may be to bright for fish

CLEAR GLASS
Bought this to replace a 45 gallon aquarium that had a crack in the bottom (my fault, dropped the live rock and caused it) set up a new Salt water tank and so far so good. Have a school of clownfish and a rainbow wrasse so far and the glass is REALLY clear. Happy with the purchase so far!
